The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Jersey City at Lafayette Park this evening.

“The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating the shooting death of a male in the area of Van Horne and Maple streets in Jersey City. More information to follow,” the HCPO tweeted.
Police radio transmissions indicated that the fatality occurred at Lafayette Park, but no further information was immediately available.
