The Union City Police Department is the latest local police force to join the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign during the end-of-year holiday season.

Roving “DUI enforcement” will be conducted throughout the city and party goers are encouraged to use a designated driver, public transportation or a taxi, the department said on their Twitter page on Saturday.
On the same day, the Hoboken Police Department announced they would be joining the national campaign, with Police Chief Kenneth Ferrante announcing DWI arrests had been made within hours after beefing up impaired driving enforcement.
The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign spans from December 9 through January 1, 2017.
