Strother, whose bail hearing was delayed after Judge Margret Marley recused herself, was released on custody after the prosecutor said he had no prior history.

During Strother’s initial hearing it was learned that he had an outstanding warrant in Passaic County for a “hindering apprehension charge” with bail set at $3,500.00.

Kenyatta Stewart, an attorney representing Strother, explained that the amended gun charge signaled that jail time was unlikely in the case.

Stewart added that there “was never a time the weapon was physically in [Strother’s] hand” had the gun in his hand.”
