West New York Mayor Felix Roque spoke about a potential shared services agreement between the town and board of ed at their meeting Wednesday, but not before he was met with harsh criticism from Ralph Martell – Carlos Betancourt’s campaign manager for the 2015 mayoral election.Â
After the verbal confrontation, Roque commended Superintendent of Schools John Fauta for being open to working with the town to establish a new bus route for the students transferred from St. Joseph of the Palisades Elementary School to Harry L. Bain School.
The mayor also recalled his travels to school as a youth, sympathizing with parents on how a bus route would be a big help in this situation.

Shameful, this self propelled convulsion of an elected official whom changes his mind at a whim. I fail to understand what Roque stands for, his moral barometer dysfunctional . When ever his feet are held to the fire he then cares for the resident's and their children. When left to his own vices he represents special interest. Mr. Donald Scarinci can not spend 24 hours a day by y sitting this incompetent. This is the state of our home, for shame.

I can't believe the kind of language used to address a residence of this town. It does not matter if you agree or disagree, a Mayor should address all the citizens with respect, regardless.
let the man talk for crying out loud…same cast of characters with the same rhetoric in the front row…no wonder our schools are having problems…chuckie and martel just doing what they do best
What a shame. The town of West New York is beeing run buy people that don’t understand what it is that the town needs and what or how they could fix it . Then you have a group of people that are expressing there intrest in running for a possition that they don’t know how what to do once they get into office. I am going to move back to West New York sow I could run my own ticket to help That town that was once a beautiful town to live in. The town of West New York could be save but not with the group of people leading or those that are trying to get in. You need someone that knows to lead and has been very sussesfull in the pass in buisness and knows how to make wise decisions. Someone that does not benefit from getting into running the town. A mayor that does not want anything from the town but only see the citizens of West New York be proud of where the live and see the citizen again happy. I live you with this . Look at Mayor Rocki and look at Chucki and tell me what you see. The Citezens need to get someone that believes in the people and knows how to make divisions.
