Assemblywoman Jessica Ramirez (D-32) and her running mate, Jersey City Ward D Councilman Yousef Saleh, are demanding expanded PATH service after canvassing with Hudson County Complete Streets members this week.

“Our communities rely on the PATH every single day — to get to work, school, medical appointments, and more,” Ramirez said in a statement.
“We deserve a modern, reliable transit system that works for working people. That means expanding PATH service during peak hours, increasing weekend frequency, and investing in the infrastructure we need to support Hudson County’s growth.”
The duo’s two-day canvass with Hudson County Complete Streets focused on rallying residents to take action by generating letters to Gov. Phil Murphy (D), urging him to prioritize expanded PATH service and invest in comprehensive transportation solutions.
“Expanding PATH service isn’t optional — it’s essential. Our residents should not be packed into trains like sardines or left waiting on platforms with no updates. We’re fighting for a system that’s accessible, timely, and responsive to the needs of Jersey City and Hoboken,” added Saleh.
Ramirez are Saleh are running on Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop’s “Democrats for Change” ticket at part of his pursuit for governor in a competitive six-person June 10th primary.
Jennie Pu and Crystal Fonseca are running with the Hudson County Democratic Organization (HCDO), while Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla and Jersey City activist Katie Brennan are also bracketed together.
