The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a dead body found inside a Bayonne apartment last week, police confirmed with Hudson County View.Â

Police Lt. Eric Amato said in an email that the Bayonne Police Department responded to a report of a deceased person at 820 Avenue C, referring any further comment on the matter to the prosecutor’s office, since they had taken over the investigation.
While details remain scarce at the moment, sources said that the investigation into the death began on Friday evening.
The prosecutor’s office did not return inquiries seeking comment on Wednesday and further information was not immediately available.
