Willie Parrine, Jr., 39, of Baltimore, Maryland, was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and other traffic violations after a Port Authority police officer caught him smoking weed with a minor in the back seat,  according to Port Authority police spokesman Joe Pentangelo.

A Port Authority police officer on patrol near the New Jersey Toll Plaza of the Holland Tunnel noticed a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu traveling with an obstructed windshield around 8 p.m. last night, police said.

After the officer stopped the vehicle near the toll plaza, “the odor of marijuana” emanated from the vehicle, which also had a 12-year-old seated in the back, authorities said.

Parrine admitted to having recently smoked marijuana and was placed under arrest after failing several field sobriety tests, Pentangelo said.

After an investigation, the 12-year-old was released to a family member and a juvenile report was prepared, officials said.
