The event, which is open to the press, begins at 2:30 p.m., with media setup beginning at 2 p.m. at the county commissioners’ chambers, located on the first floor of the county building at 567 Pavonia Ave.

After the event, reporters will be invited to a conference room for a question and answer session.

Guy, who previously served as the chief of staff to his predecessor, Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise, won the 2023 Democratic primary by a roughly 3-to-1 margin before cruising to the winner’s circle in the general election when he ran unopposed.

Gov. Phil Murphy (D) swore him in as the fifth Hudson County executive on January 4th, at a ceremony that also included remarks from the likes of Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, state Senators Angela McKnight (D-31), Raj Mukherji (D-32), and Brian Stack (D-33), along with U.S. Reps. Rob Menendez (D-8) and Bill Pascrell (D-9), as well as Board of Commissioners Chair Anthony Romano Romano (D-5).
