President and CEO of HRH Dr. Nizar Kifaieh began by recognizing elected officials in attendance, as well as senior hospital staff including HRH Chairman Yan Moshe, Chief Hospital Executive at Bayonne University Hospital Dr. Vijay Singh, and Chief Hospital Executive at Hoboken University Hospital Dr. Michael Hochberg.

Kifaieh called it a special occasion for HRH, “a project in the making for a few years” after they acquired and renovated the site into this “multi-speciality medical center.”

“What we’re trying to do is create a space for the community members to able to come here and be cared for all the way from primary care to specialities. The reason why that’s important for the community is because some of us have been patients,” he added.

The newly renovated facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and equipment, offering a range of services including annual physicals, preventive health screenings, sick visits, immigration physicals, vaccinations, specialty referrals, and more.

According to Kifaieh, obstetrics, orthopedic surgery, and surgical specialities will be coming to the location in the future, adding this is “special and unique” for West New York, noting a significant influx of walk-ins since opening.

“It’s really important for a patient when they come here for this to be a one-stop shop for them in terms of primary care and medical and surgical specialities. This signifies our interest and our commitment in developing and providing top-notch healthcare in Hudson County,” he declared.

“This is another sign of what we do as a hospital system to provide care to the community.

In addition, Kifaieh said they are adding more services in our hospitals and touted existing services at the Bayonne and Hoboken hospitals.

According to Kifaieh, Hoboken is now one of only two hospitals in Hudson County that has both obstetrics and pediatrics services, noting “there’s a lot of work to be done there.”

West New York Mayor Albio Sires said that the new medical practice was much needed in town, highlighting the transformation of the old former building into the new facility.

He said that there are two senior buildings nearby that will be well-served by HRH in this location.

“You have about two senior buildings just up the block from here. I’m sure you’re going to get a lot of customers here. This is a great spot. I think you’re going to be very successful here,” the mayor expressed.

Additionally, Hudson County Executive Craig Guy said this facility was opened at “the right place at the right time for the people that need the services.”

“The immigrant community, which is so much under attack these days, now they can come to a place where they can have trust in the professionals that are in here,” Guy stated.

“So, you know, a big shout out to Hudson Regional and recognizing the community needs right in the heart of the community, right where the folks that most need the services.”

Assemblyman Larry Wainstein (D-33) also thanked HRH for opening the new facility in North Hudson.

“It’s a state-of-the-art facility, and I had the opportunity to meet some staff and some wonderful doctors. So I welcome you. But it’s so important to have quality health care in Hudson County, and especially here in West New York, that’s inclusive and accessible to everybody,” he stated.

“So I thank you for that and I wish you all the best of luck. I also want to thank all the doctors and the nurses and all the staff people. Thank you for providing these opportunities to the people of Hudson County.”

Following the remarks, a ceremonial ribbon cutting took place for the “state-of-the-art primary care and family medical practice,” the fourth HRH Medical Group location in Hudson and Bergen Counties.

In addition to West New York, there are three other HRH Medical Group locations in Secaucus, Bayonne, and North Arlington.

Electeds in attendance also included Hudson County Executive Craig Guy and Assemblyman Larry Wainstein (D-33).

HRH Medical Group is now accepting patients by appointment by calling 201-392-3527, or by visiting hrhmedicalgroup.com.

All major medical insurances, as well as Medicaid, are accepted.

Absent was any mention of the now-shuttered Heights University Hospital and the mandated State Health Planning Board meeting at Dickinson High School later tonight, which is moving forward despite HRH refusing to participate.
