The five new officers, all West New York residents, graduated the police academy on Wednesday, December 13.

“We are proud to welcome the new members of the West New York Police Department and look forward to working with them to continue moving our town forward,” Mayor Felix Roque, the commissioner of the Department of Public Safety, said in a statement.

“As the Holiday Season comes around, putting more officers on the street benefits the
officers already out there and the citizens we serve.”

The new graduating members of the West New York Police Department are: Officers Benitez, Molina-Ureña, Jaber, Garcia, and Hernandez.

“I want to thank Mayor Roque and our most important partners, the residents of West New York, for helping us keep WNY safe,” added Police Director Robert Antolos.
