Weehawken PBA’s 12th annual toy drive underway, will continue through mid-December

The Weehawken Policemen’s Benevolent Association’s 12th annual toy drive, “Cops for Tots,” is underway and will continue through mid-December.

“This year we expanded our partnerships in the community to new businesses and residential complexes. We are seeking new, unwrapped toys for girls and boys of any age,” Joe Poole, the president of Weehawken PBA Local 15, told HCV.

“The toys will be donated to the Hudson County Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP) and distributed to Hudson County children in need.”

Drop off locations include Weehawken Police Headquarters, the Township Manager’s Office (both located at 400 Park Ave.), the Weehawken Volunteer First Aid Squad at 201 Highwood Ave., the public library at 49 Hauxhurst Ave., SB One Bank at 1000 Avenue At Port Imperial, Riva Pointe at 600 Harbor Boulevard, 1200 Avenue at Port Imperial
The Avora at 800 Avenue at Port Imperial and the Galaxy Towers in Guttenberg.

Additionally, public school district students and personnel can make a donation at the Webster, Roosevelt, and Weehawken High Schools.

“I would just like to thank all of the partners involved in this year’s toy drive and of course all of the residents, students, and individual donors participating in the toy drive,” Poole added.

The toy drive began on November 19th and will run through December 16th.
