“We created the Vermella collection of residential communities for the discerning renter seeking an urban-suburban hybrid living experience, with each of our eight communities offering its own aesthetic and personality reflecting our brand’s overall mission to provide appropriately priced attainable luxury in the Northern New Jersey market,” Russo Property Management President Adam Pasternack said in a statement.

“Vermella East’s mix of sophisticated boutique hotel meets industrial chic offers a one-of-a-kind aesthetic that has drawn in residents, even during challenging times.”

All apartment homes have nine-foot ceilings, ample storage space, in-home washer-dryers, and smart locks, with leasing starting as low as in the neighborhood of $1,650.

“We were looking for a neighborhood that reminded us of our previous home in Brooklyn, but with new construction and a balcony,” noted Alex “Sasha” Key who moved to Vermella East in the fall with his partner, Yokov Magdalasov.

“We’re paying less but have gained so much more—a larger home with an extra room for my art studio, a gym in the club house that Yakov uses daily, and a private dog park for our labradoodle, Archie.”

Russo Property Management’s first luxury apartment development, the Vermella Crossing -a 230-unit community with a CVS and Investor’s Bank at Schuyler and Bergen Avenues – opened in 2015.

They followed that up by building Vermella West, another 280-units complex also located on Passaic Avenue, which opened in 2018.

Vermella East is also located within walking distance of the Kearny Commons retail corridor, which features easy access to destinations such as BJ’s, Marshalls, LA Fitness, Starbucks and Chipotle, and a new urgent care center.
