U.S. Marshals offering up to $5k reward for info on suspect in Union City murder

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information on a suspect wanted for a Union City murder that occurred on March 23rd, according to a new notice from the agency.

“The United States Marshals Service is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Luis Marin aka ‘Luisito.’ Marin is wanted for Homicide by the Hudson County, NJ Prosecutor’s Office for First Degree Murder and Weapons Offenses,” the notice says.

They also point out that Marin should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with any information on his whereabouts are urged to contact U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force Det. Sean Kennedy at 201-469-7703.

All information will be kept strictly confidential.

Marin, also known as Luis Alberto, Luis Hernandez, and Luis Rodriguez, is a 57-year-old North Bergen resident who has grey hair, brown eyes, stand about five feet four inches tall, and weighs around 160 pounds, the Marshals said in the notice.

He was last seen on March 23rd, where he is believed to have fatally shot David Pulgarin, 42, of North Bergen, near the intersection of Bergenline Avenue and 44th Street in Union City.

One week later, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office (HCPO) put out a public appeal to help try and locate the suspected killer, as HCV first reported.
