“We are proud to serve the community and support those who need it most right in our neighborhood,” Zuppa said in a statement.

“Being there for the community means being there day in and day out and not just when it’s politically convenient. With your support, we will bring smiles to the faces of thousands of children and their families this holiday season.”

The event, hosted at Salumeria Ercolano in Jersey City, bolstered the association’s toy giveaway events to be held this week within the Journal Square community for the families living at Summit Plaza, Hudson Gardens, Marion Gardens, and the Van Wagenen Apartments.

Furthermore, the association also sponsored and provided toys for the Jersey City Police Department West District’s toy drive and partnered with events hosted by neighboring non-profit organizations.

Anyone interested in volunteering or learning more about the Association’s community work can email tomzuppacivic@gmail.com.

Furthermore, the association thanks its generous sponsors and those who donated toys, including the team of volunteers from Morgan Stanley, Hudson County Building Trades, United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 253, Hudson County Commissioner/Jersey City mayoral candidate Bill O’Dea and the South Hudson Civic Association, Marcisco Morrison and Four Fitness JC, the Dante Alighieri Society of Jersey City, Community 1st, the McGinley Square Community Board, and the Hudson County Bar Association.
