Personnel from Shauger and SUEZ were both on hand last week to assist with delivering the meals at the Board of Health on Kearny Ave.
Officials from the Town of Kearny had coordinated a list of groups, families and individuals who will enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal this week.
SUEZ has been providing customer service for the Town of Kearny since 1999, and operations and maintenance since 2016.
Recently, Kearny renewed its contract with the water utility for another five years, with upgrades to include a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), asset management and hydraulic modeling.
“The Town of Kearny is pleased to renew its public-private partnership with SUEZ for the operation, maintenance and billing of the community’s drinking water utility,” Kearny Business Administrator Stephen Marks said in a statement.
“The town looks forward to working with SUEZ over the next five years to continue providing superior service.”
The Thanksgiving meal bags include turkeys, canned vegetables, gravy, instant mashed potatoes, turkey stuffing mix, bags of grain rice, and cans of cranberry sauce.
