“From a medical point of view, it’s never been about the test score; it’s about knowing the importance of adhering to the best practices in healthcare so that we can provide the level and quality of care that our patients deserve,” HRH President and CEO Dr. Nizar Kifaieh said in a statement.

“Receiving Leapfrog’s highest accolades is the culmination of a very deliberate overall mission that also includes attracting top-tier practitioners and creating an environment where medical innovations are made. It is especially gratifying as the chairman of this organization to see what happens when strong leadership and dedicated clinicians are empowered to be at their best,” added HRH Board Chair Yan Moshe.

HRH received a “B” rating in May 2022 and then improved to an “A” rating in November. Other achievements this year include being designated a primary stroke center by the New Jersey Department of Health, Moshe being presented the Patriotic Employer Award by the U.S. Department of Defense, and Kifaieh being named an NJBiz Healthcare Hero.

For more than 20 years, The Leapfrog Group has collected, analyzed, and published hospital data on safety and quality in order to push the health care industry forward.

Leapfrog’s methodology and description for being the top general hospital can be found here.
