Texas man arrested in Secaucus for injuring woman by throwing her to the ground

A Texas man was arrested in Secaucus for injuring a woman, who he did not know, by throwing her to the ground, Police Chief Dennis Miller said.

Donald Burks, 35, of Arlington, Texas, was charged with aggravated assault, Miller said in a statement.

On March 29th at 11:02 p.m., the Secaucus Police Department responded to the area of Post Place and Centre Avenue on a report of an assault.

The victim was a woman not known to the defendant, who walking in the area. He threw her to the ground causing significant injury to her hip, Miller told HCV in an email.

Burks was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
