State Senator Nick Sacco (D-32) sat down with Hudson County View shortly after it was announced that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey would no longer consider eliminating overnight PATH service, voicing his approval for the conclusion of this saga.

“I think it was the sudden response from all the elected officials in the area .. indicating that that’s not negotiable, it can’t happen” Sacco told Hudson County View in a one-on-one interview, when answering a question as to why he felt the PATH service would not be altered.

“It was the type of thing that if no one reacted to it, it would happen.”

“This [one] really hit all of our nerves suddenly: the people in our areas are going to lose this contact with the PATH station. This was just wrong,” Sacco explained.
