West New York Memorial High School science teacher Susan Colacurcio will be announced as the latest member of Mayor Felix Roque’s re-election ticket at his fundraiser at the Las Palmas Restaurant this evening, multiple sources confirmed with Hudson County View.Â

An educator for decades, as well as the executive director of Fairview’s Franciscan Community Development Center, Colacurcio is a bit of a surprise pick for the Roque team given that she does not have a background in politics.
While Roque hasn’t made it official yet, new town commissioners Cosmo Cirillo and Gabriel Rodriguez are shoe-ins to join his five-person re-election slate, making Colacurcio the fourth member of the team.
Roque’s event, which will include the presence of District 32 officials State Senator Nick Sacco, Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto and Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez, is scheduled to take place tonight from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
