“Councilmen Russo and Gomez are doing excellent work alongside Mayor Vincent Bellucci to move Fairview forward while protecting what makes this community special, and they have my full support and endorsement in this election,” Sacco said in a statement.

“Fairview needs strong leaders at the municipal level who will work to improve services while protecting taxpayers, and that is exactly what we can count on Steve Russo and Jhon Gomez to do. I encourage all Fairview Democrats to support them and the entire Bergen County Democratic team in the Primary Election.”

They face an independent, off-the-line challenger in Jessica Berrocal in the June 8th Democratic primary.

Fairview is a part of the 32nd Legislative District, which Sacco has represented since being elected to the state Senate in 1993, while Jimenez and Mejia have served in the lower house since 2012 and 2018, respectively. They are all also seeking re-election this year.
