The nine officers were terminated after the department reviewed surveillance footage of officers getting drunk at the popular Hoboken bar and grill, Texas Arizona, on August 22, as Cliffview Pilot first reported.

According to the report, a police academy lieutenant will also be disciplined for not monitoring the behavior of several rookie cops, as well as for have a couple too many drinks himself, during the night out

The surveillance video allegedly contains footage of rookie Port Authority officers stealing beers from behind the bar and damaging the bathroom area of the establishment.

Other media outlets, including News 12, received a prepared statement from Port Authority Executive Director Pat Foye calling the terminations “a sad day” for the department, adding that he is disappointed in the “poor judgment” of the staff who attended the party.
