Prosecutor: West New York man committed sex crimes on two boys: 4 & 7 years old

A West New York man is accused of committing sex crimes on two boys, who were four and seven years old, while two additional children were present, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

Yesterday, members of the HCPO Special Victims Unit arrested Antonio Yat Pop, 24, of West for aggravated sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child for the first incident and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child for the second incident, Suarez said in a statement.

He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City and remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

The state has filed a detention motion, which is scheduled to be heard on Tuesday, July 5th and the crimes occurred on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 inside a West New York residence.

Suarez credited the Special Victims Unit and West New York Police Department with the investigation and arrest.
