Yesterday, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Eric Fischer, 38, of Bayonne, on charges that he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old female acquaintance on August 18th, Suarez said in a statement.

Fischer was charged with sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, terroristic threats, hindering, and providing false statements.

He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit just after 1:00 p.m. Friday without incident.

Fischer was also charged with a prior incident of sexual contact with the victim on or about
November 1, 2019.

That incident led to the additional charges of sexual assault by contact and endangering the welfare of a child.

Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit for the
investigation and arrest.
