The juveniles, ages 15 and 16, were arrested for aggravated assault on Saturday, according to Police Capt. Janine Foy.

The two boys are accused of being part of a group of five who began punching and kicking a 25-year-old victim after an argument over one of the group members bumping into a car the victim was seated in as a passenger, officials said.

While the accused attackers all fled the area, the 16-year-old was caught near the intersection of 40th Street and Avenue B, while the 15-year-old was apprehended at the corner of 41st Street and Broadway, authorities said.

The victim was treated for serious, but non-life threatening, injuries at the Bayonne University Medical Center, police said.
