Jeffery Reader, 32, of Staten Island, New York, is charged with burglary and theft, according to Amato.

Reader was taken into custody at about 2:50 p.m. after being identified as the robber reported on September 15th.

On that date, an employee of the Starting Point Bar and Grill, located at 2 Avenue A, reported that upon entering the establishment at 9:15 a.m., he observed the interior to be in disarray and numerous drawers to be opened.

One of which was the cash register that had been emptied by an intruder. The total amount of money taken was estimated to be over $2,100.

An investigation into the incident was conducted by the Bayonne Police Detective Bureau, who identified Reader as the suspect. Reader was ultimately arrested and charged with the burglary and theft, authorities said.
