On Saturday, North Bergen Police Officer Johnny Sanchez responded to an emergency call for service involving an unresponsive adult male, officials said.
Upon arrival, Sanchez’s training and experience led him to believe the male had suffered an opiate (heroin) induced overdose, police said.
As a result, the officer then immediately administered Narcan and the male regained consciousness and was transported to an area hospital for treatment, authorities said.
