Jonathon Davila, 35, of Garfield, was charged with terroristic threats, Miller said in a statement.
On January 31st at approximately 9:02 p.m., Secaucus police officers responded to the Shake Shack, located at 700 Plaza Drive, on a report of a patron who was threatening individuals inside the establishment.
“Mr. Davila threatened to kill patrons and employees at the Shake Shack while it was open for business,” Miller told HCV in an email.
As a result, Davila was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody, authorities said.
The day prior, Secaucus police responded to the high school, located at 11 Millridge Road, at about 12:58 p.m. on a report of an individual who received a terroristic threat.
During the investigation, the police arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male of Secaucus, for terroristic threats and conspiracy to commit terroristic threats.
According to Miller, the juvenile conspired with another teenager to call a third juvenile and threaten to shoot him. All three are known to open another and there was no imminent threat.
As a result, the arrestee was issued his juvenile complaint summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult, police said.
