A Jersey City woman was busted trying to steal several bottles of lotion valued at approximately $49 at a CVS in Hoboken earlier this week, police said.

Rose Mecheo, 45, of Jersey City, was charged with shoplifting and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, according to Police Det. Lt. Edgardo Cruz.
While on patrol, Officer Jason Montalvo and Sgt. Cesar Olavarria were dispatched to 59 Washington St. on a report of a shoplifter at the CVS pharmacy.
CVS staff advised officers they had a shoplifter who had taken several bottles of lotion valued at approximately $49 dollars.
A search of the arrestee found her to be in possession a glass cylindrical pipe commonly used to smoke crack cocaine. She was transported to headquarters for processing and later transported to the Hudson County Rehabilitation Center, authorities said.
