Jasmine Briggs, 38, of Hoboken, was charged with fourth degree animal cruelty around 10:54 p.m. yesterday, according to Police Det. Sgt. Edgardo Cruz.

Just before 11 p.m., officers responded to a call of a dog being thrown out a window at 560 Marshall Dr.  The dog owner, Briggs’ boyfriend, was seen holding the canine on the street outside the residence, officials said.

He said that he and his girlfriend got into an argument so he left the apartment to keep the situation from escalation, shortly thereafter witnessing Briggs drop the pit bull out of the second story window, authorities said.

Briggs admitted to throwing the dog out the window, was arrested and given a $1,000 bail with a 10 percent option. She was bailed out after posting the $100, police said.
