Richard Martinez, 38, of Bayonne, was charged with shoplifting and hindering apprehension, according to Police Lt. Eric Amato.

Yesterday at about 8:35 p.m. at the ShopRite located at 583 Avenue C, Martinez was seen exiting the store with a concealed bottle of Patron, valued at $48.99, and a bottle of Grey Goose, valued at $60.99, without paying for either item, authorities said.

As he was being arrested, Martinez gave the officer a fake name, leading to the hindering charge, officials said.

Martinez was eventually processed and released on a summons, police said.
