U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-9) announced a $959,752 federal grant to remove and replace lead water pipes in the Town of Kearny.

“Every single Garden Stater and American has a God-given right to clean water. If our government cannot provide safe, clean drinking water then it is no government at all,” Pascrell said in a statement.
“This federal funding my office secured will help Kearny replace ancient lead pipes and secure the city’s drinking water supply. I am damn proud to have delivered this money for Mayor Doyle, the council, and our Kearny residents.”
In this year’s government funding process, Pascrell has secured $17,624,644 for 17 separate community projects throughout New Jersey’s Ninth District.
This funding package included the aforementioned grant for the West Hudson municipality of Kearny.
