In an editorial, Union City resident Fernando Uribe expresses his opinion that Assembly members Ravi Bhalla and Katie Brennan (D-32) should focus on helping constituents, not grandstanding.

It never ceases to amaze me how progressives like Ravi Bhalla and Katie Brennan as soon as they get into elected office fixate on their selfies and social media engagement, but they don’t address the real issues affecting their constituents.
Don’t even get me started on their office hours. Are they posted anywhere? Is anyone really stopping by? I’ve seen it personally where State Senator Brian Stack will meet with 100+ constituents in one day. This isn’t just an isolated incident.
It’s called consistency and that’s why he is so good at his job. I don’t think Bhalla and Brennan will see 100 constituents in their entire term (running into them at protests doesn’t count folks) and yes, while it might be hyperbole on my part, ask around.
I’m probably not wrong. Never mind the name of the bills they recently introduced. It’s simply window dressing. Sure, it appeases the progressives in their legislative district, but here’s the reality many of their followers miss consistently.
Theatrics and semantics are cute, but I can see right through them. None of these bills stop ICE from doing their job. ICE is a federal agency enforcing federal law and a state cannot block that.
These bills mainly limit how much state and local agencies can cooperate with ICE or share certain data. ICE can still operate and enforce immigration law.
Oh, and by the way, don’t you think meeting with constituents on a Saturday is time better served than driving 34 miles to Roxbury, New Jersey to protest an issue, that once again, is a federal one?
Again, the bar is set very high by State Senator Stack where you can hear the concerns of your constituents and at the same time, understand you can’t interfere with federal law.
He firmly gets it and is anyone going to accuse Stack of disregarding residents? Of course not. That’s not his body of work.
New Jersey continues to have the highest property taxes anywhere in the country.
I would know this since I own multiple properties and while the municipalities do a good job of keeping them at a reasonable rate (they should be lower but that’s more an indictment of Trenton than it is of the municipalities), I can’t say a majority of residents in this state are as fortunate.
Perhaps, Bhalla and Brennan can pull themselves away from their smartphones for selfies and be as loud about this in Trenton as they are for their virtue signaling?
Here’s one that affects all of us. How about addressing road conditions in this state? Did you know New Jersey ranks 44th out of our 50 states?
A recent Annual Highway Report examines this. Isn’t the Gas Tax intended to provide the necessary funding to address this? How about Trenton rolls it back or audits the Transportation Trust Fund?
Bhalla and Brennan ran on a platform to address affordability for their constituents in the 32nd Legislative District.
Instead, they’re more focused on who’s sharing their posts on BlueSky and Instagram when they rush to the nearest camera at all times.
Thomas Jefferson once said: “The government you elect is the government you deserve.” If anyone epitomizes this, It’s Ravi Bhalla and Katie Brennan.

TLDR: MAGA chud says chud nonsense while glazing Stack.
Former Hoboken Mayor Ravinder Singh Bhalla left Hoboken with 17 million dollar structural budget deficit, a massively depleted emergency fund, a trial of costly lost politically self-serving politically court battle’s and now facing a 20% property tax increase.
THANK WHATEVER GOD YOU BELEVE IN HE IS GONE !
a letter from Fernando Uribe is as valuable as a fart in the wind!
Ravi and Katie are representing their constituents: illegal aliens and the Karen mobs who demand criminal rapists, pedophiles, killers and drug dealers get to stay (and vote Democrat of course).
As one Leftist Democrats said, the illegal aliens are needed to pick food and clean “our” bathrooms. They demand slave labor at cheap prices who will vote Democrat and ICE your vote and civil liberties. The illicit Joe Biden invasion followed.
This is exactly who anti-Americans like Ravi and Katie Brennan are.

Fernando Uribe is on Stacks payroll. He has a job in Union City as a media shill. Can’t trust anything he says and he will never criticize King Stack.
As Hoboken has experienced Ravi Bhalla always bowed to Brian Stack even when it has harmed the residents.
Bhalla does what is in hs own best interest.
This is spot on. Bhalla and Brennan are delusional enough to think that they could get elected to higher office like Governor or U.S. House of Reps (giggles). That’s what they are doing with all of these photo ops. Campaigning. But eventually they’ll be exposed for what they are – total frauds who don’t give a rat’s behind about their constituents. They ran their campaigns on “affordability.” We recently learned that Bhalla left Hoboken with a $17 million deficit. Now he wants to blame others for that, but trust him, he’s going to lower your expenses. Riiiiight. He hasn’t spend one minute on anything related to affordability. 100% of his time is dedicated to ridiculous legislation against immigration enforcement agents that has zero chance of ever being applied. Even idiot voters in Jersey City and Hoboken will eventually see that for themselves.
