Ray Worrall, a spokesman for the prosecutor’s office, confirmed that a triple shooting occurred at 101 Fulton Ave. in Jersey City around 10:00 p.m. last night.

Authorities responded to 101 Fulton Avenue and found an unresponsive male in the entrance hallway with an apparent gunshot wound to his upper torso. The male was later identified as Quadel Chisolm, 31, officials said.

Officers entered an apartment and observed two additional dead bodies, one male and one female. The male, later identified as Ishear Bailey, 26, and Janaya Lee, age 25, both had multiple gunshot wounds to their upper bodies, police said.

Multiple neighbors, friends and family said Lee was a mother pregnant with her second child, though the prosecutor’s office did not immediately confirm that information.

All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 10:15 p.m.

The Prosecutor’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating this case with assistance from the
Jersey City Police Department.
