A 10-month-old baby is ‘in extremely critical condition” after nearly drowning inside a Jersey City home last night, an official said.

The baby nearly drowned at a residence on 6th Street, according to city spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill, who said no further information was available at this time.
A source, who spoke under the condition of anonymity, said that Jersey City police and at least one ambulance from the Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health responded to the home last night.
When Hudson County View arrived on the scene around 10:30 p.m. yesterday, there were no signs of first responders on the street.
