“As these firefighters take on new roles and responsibilities, I have full confidence in their ability to continue upholding the highest standards of public safety in our community,”  Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner, also the chair of NHRFR’s Management Committee, said in a statement.

“The exemplary safety record of North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue is impeccable and these promotions reflect the hard work and sacrifice these individuals have put into their service.”

“These members and their families play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our residents and this ceremony is a moment to celebrate not only their achievements, but also the strength and resilience of our entire fire department. I congratulate each promoted member and thank you for your unwavering dedication,” added NHFR Chief David Donnarumma.

In addition to Turner, also in attendance was state Senator (D-32)/North Bergen Mayor Nick Sacco, state Senator (D-33)/Union City Mayor Brian Stack, West New York Mayor Albio Sires, and Guttenberg Mayor Wayne Zitt, who were joined by other NHRFR board members, administrators, officials, and proud family members of the firefighters being promoted.
