North Bergen, Union City, Weehawken, & West New York open cooling centers

North Bergen, Union City, Weehawken, and West New York have cooling centers open with temperatures expected to feel like over 100 degrees the next few days.

The North Bergen cooling centers are at the uptown library, 8411 Bergenline Ave., their downtown library, 1231 John F. Kennedy Blvd., and their recreation center, 6300 Meadowview Ave.

Those locations will be open until 8 p.m. this evening, with upcoming hours to be announced shortly.

In Union City, the William V. Musto Cultural Center, located at 420 15th St., and the Senior Citizens Building, located at 3700 Palisade Ave., will be utilized as cooling centers until at least Saturday. These locations will be open 24/7.

As for West New York, they have established five separate locations that will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. until further notice: 430 62nd St., 6100 Adams St. 6300 Adams St.,
5800 Jefferson St., and 515 54th St.

Finally, in Weehawken, they are offering three cooling center locations open from 9 a.m. until midnight through at least Saturday: 4800 Park Ave., 2-4 Potter Place, and 525 Gregory Ave.
