The North Bergen location of the Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC), also known as the Department of Motor Vehicles, closed on Thursday for renovations and will not be reopened until January 16, 2016.Â

The facility, located at 8901 Park Plaza, had construction going on all afternoon on Sunday and signage indicated where other services can be provided to Hudson County residents.
No car dealer work will be accepted at the location as the renovations are underway, while those who requested a car title will have to visit the Lodi facility at 8 Mill St. in Lodi.
Those looking to take their driver’s test are advised to visit the Lodi or Bayonne facilities, with the latter being located at 1347 John F. Kennedy Boulevard.
Furthermore, those looking to process salvage and rebuilt titles will have to head down south to the MVC locations in Eatontown, Flemington, Manahawkin, Runnemede and Washington.
Finally, those looking for any additional day-to-day services are advised to go to the facilities in Bayonne, Jersey City (438 Summit Ave.), Paterson (125 Broadway #201) or Wallington (450 Main Ave.).
