A man was shot in the back twice outside the Jersey City 7-Eleven in Journal Square on Monday evening, an official confirmed this morning.

On September 6th at approximately 7:05 p.m., police responded to a shots fired incident outside 7-Eleven, located at 33 Journal Square, according to city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione.
At that time, a 29-year-old male victim was discovered with two non-life threatening gunshot wounds to the lower back and was treated at a local hospital.
No further information was immediately available.
