In a letter to the editor, Jersey City Ward C resident Stanley Simmons explains why he’s voting to re-elect Councilman Rich Boggiano in the December 7th runoff election.
Dear Editor,
This Black man, senior citizen, veteran, and lifelong Jersey City resident is voting for Rich Boggiano on Dec 7th.
Why? Rich earned my trust over decades of knowing him and his service to the community. He’s a regular person who has spent his life showing his devotion to both Jersey City and the nation.
I can’t tell you how many people I know who have gotten his help over the years, especially the most vulnerable and downtrodden among us.
He’s helped the elderly, veterans, disabled, blind, homeless, immigrants, refugees, and illegal immigrants.
You can’t fake what Rich has done for people around him.
People like me may not be loud on social media, but we’re out there, he’s earned our loyalty, and he’s earned our support.
Thank you Rich for all you’ve done!
