The Jersey City Police Department found a man dead on arrival and a woman with stab wounds after responding to a home in the Heights yesterday.

Yesterday at approximately 12:35 p.m., Jersey City police officers responded to an address on Central Avenue after receiving a call about a stabbing, city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said.
“It was reported to police that the 49-year-old female had been fighting with a male known to her when she was stabbed in her neck and left groin area. The female was transported to a local hospital in stable condition,” she wrote in an email
“Shortly thereafter, JCPD entered the residence, where the male was found DOA.”
Wallace-Scalcione added that no criminal charges have been filed at this time.
