Pint, a gay bar in Jersey City, is alleging that an employee faced homophobic slurs as they were assaulted, according to a Facebook post on their page.

“The incident started when this man asked an employee why we have a rainbow flag. When told we are gay bar, he flew into a rage and said gays target children. He said gay people and gay bars should be illegal,” the post says.

“He then began calling our staff and customers “f*ggots and homos”. He sped away before police arrived. Kudos to JCPD who responded quickly. We love our local police and they do a great job. If you know who this guy is, let us know. We will be working with law enforcement to press bias crime charges.”

Jersey City Ward E Councilman James Solomon, who represents the area where the bar is located downtown, spoke out against the incident and said that his office will work with police to identify the man.

“Today’s disgraceful hate incident at Pint is as unwelcome as it is unbecoming. Every queer person deserves to feel safe – and I’ve made very clear in light of the national rollback of LGBTQ+ rights that hate has no home in Jersey City,” he tweeted.

“We will be working with the JCPD and local authorities to ensure that justice is met swiftly, and I will use every power available to me to ensure that the LGBTQ+ community in Ward E and across Jersey City is protected.”

  1. Solomon is a hypocrite! He was made aware of Glenn Trickel’s asssult, which was funded by Bidhop Militinia Nlsnd, but he has said nothing. Now, it would be hilarious to hear what educational 😂 Gilmore has to say about this. He nominated Bishop Militinia Bland as person of the year😂😂. You cannot make this up. How about the Molotov cocktail that came in through our window?
I forgot… you’re a valued gay if you live in downtown. But, if you’re in the junction, you’re not that valuable.

  2. I don’t get it. This article says nothing about anyone assaulted. Just some naughty words being said. The police need to get involved with this??? Solomon needs to do something about the skyrocketing property taxes in Jersey City instead of being the town social justice warrior. This is nonsense.
