“Saturday night rescue! HUGE thanks to the JCFD Rescue 1 for showing incredible heart and soul and rescuing little Beemer from the engine of a BMW,” read a post from the Instagram account JerseyCats last night.

“Her loud screams caught the attention of @arseniclace and a mission was begun to save her. She’s now safe and sound in foster care and we’ll find her a wonderful home. #jcfd #ittakesavillage #jerseycityismycity #rescuewithapassion #savethemall”

Photos from the scene, near the intersection of Communipaw and Crescent Avenues, show that Beemer was safe and sound after being retrieved from the black car parked across from Rodriguez Brothers Supermarket.
