JCBOE Candidate Lorenzo Richardson blasts current board, promises accountability, transparency

Jersey City Board of Education candidate Lorenzo Richardson sat down with Hudson County View to discuss his candidacy.

Richardson started by talking about why he’s running and the issues he has with the current board and administration.

Known to be a fierce critic of education reform, Richardson said traditional public schools were outperforming charter schools in Jersey City.

When asked, Richardson said he would be able to work with the current board if elected, and talked about a controversial comment he made to some of the members years ago.

Finally, Richardson talked about what voters should expect of him if elected.
