“ICE assisted CBP with their Fraud Investigations Strike Team (FIST) operation at the Federal Trade Zone: Home Depot Federal Trade Zone, 2700 16th St., North Bergen,” a spokesman for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in Newark told Hudson County View.

A source, who spoke under the condition of anonymity since they were not authorized to speak on the matter, said that ICE “raided” National Retail Systems yesterday.

Federal law enforcement officials obviously did not see things from that perspective.

“The Port of New York/Newark conducted a routine compliance inspection of a Customs and Border Protection bonded warehouse utilizing the FIST. CBP conducts these periodic inspections to ensure the warehouse is in compliance with all CBP directives and protocols,” added a CBP spokesman.
