“Rob Menendez is committed to fighting for the rights of healthcare workers and patients. He supports protecting our community members from the high costs of medical care and will work to ensure every New Jerseyan has access to quality, affordable care,” HPAE First Vice President Barbara Rosen said in a statement.

“In the race for New Jersey’s 8th Congressional District, Rob is the advocate we need to ensure working people have a strong voice representing us in Washington D.C.”

After winning a bruising primary where he bested Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla by about 15 points, Menendez is heavily favored to win a second term on November 5th in the navy blue Hudson County-based 8th District.

Nonetheless, he still has to overcome a Republican challenger in West New York’s Anthony Valdes.

“I will always stand with our frontline workers and I am honored to be endorsed for re-election by our friends at HPAE,” the incumbent added.

“We will continuously partner to ensure that healthcare professionals receive strong workplace protections, good livable wages, and ample support – while working together to increase affordability and expand quality healthcare access for all our residents.”
