The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Gang Task Force recovered a handgun and 270 grams of marijuana after a months-long investigation in Jersey City.

Farrakhan Williams, 43, of Jersey City, is charged with possession of a weapon while committing a controlled dangerous substance offense, possession with the intent to distribute (marijuana), unlawful possession of a weapon, and certain persons not to possess a weapon, County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a statement.
He was arrested at his residence and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.
In the early morning hours of Monday, June 26th, the task force, with assistance from the Hudson County Regional SWAT Team, executed a court-authorized search warrant of Williams’ apartment on Danforth Avenue.
The search resulted in the seizure of a handgun and over 270 grams of suspected marijuana, authorities said.
