Hudson County Executive Craig Guy has announced the 17-member lineup for the first ever LGBTQ+ Advisory Task Force, roughly three months after seeking applications for the volunteer post.

“Hudson County is one of the most diverse, inclusive and hospitable communities in the nation, and I’m proud to form this LGBTQ+ Advisory Task Force and welcome our 17 members who, with their expertise, passion, and unique perspectives, will provide invaluable insight and recommendations to addressing the needs and concerns of our LGBTQ+ residents in Hudson County,” Guy said in a statement.
“We are grateful to the members of this Advisory Task Force, and we look forward to collaborating with this dynamic group to continue advancing towards a safer and more equitable environment for all individuals within Hudson County.”
Members of the LGBTQ+ Advisory Task Force were chosen by a selection committee comprised of officials across Hudson County government. They did not mention why they decided to up the committee from 15 members to 17
