“Hello, my name is Alejandra, and I am raising funds to cover the funeral expenses and the repatriation of my niece and her two children,” Lizeth Alejandra Gutierrez Escobar wrote in the GoFundMe page description.

“In the early hours of January 30, 2025, her ex-partner broke into her apartment and took the lives of all three. This unimaginable tragedy has left our family devastated. We are from Colombia, and we need to bring them back home so their loved ones can say their final goodbyes.”

The effort has seen an early groundswell of support, receiving 388 donations for $16,742 towards their $30,000 goal.

Yesterday, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office revealed that Napoleon Romero-Anduray, 31, of Jersey City, is charged with three counts of murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

He is accused of fatally stabbing Luisa Urbano, 31, of Jersey City, as well as her nine-year-old son Juan Martin Urbano, and her five-year-old daughter, Diana Ramirez at their Jersey City Heights apartment at 272 Hutton St.
