“On December 4, 2020 Aiesha McFadden was walking home to the store while accompanied by her daughter. At around 8:30pm Esha was inappropriately touched and she was obviously offended and made it known,” the Facebook description says.

“The harasser then shot Esha twice right in front of her daughter who stayed with her until she was pronounced dead at Jersey City Medical Center. Esha’s children will have to live with this memory for the rest of their lives, meaning they need therapy. Dazania, Esha’s oldest daughter—a college student—will now have to raise her siblings, the youngest of them 8 years old.”

The online fundraiser, started by Tiffany Critten, has enjoyed widespread community support over the past week or so: with 374 donations, 415 shares, and $18,314 raised – shattering the initial goal of $10,000.

One week ago, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office identified McFadden as the woman killed near the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Bidwell Avenue on December 4th.

24 hours after that announcement, the HCPO revealed that her alleged killer, Thaddues Williams, 37, of East Orange, had been arrested and charged.
