Pointing out that Jersey City Ward A Councilman Frank Gajewski, has not been very active, nor visible, in his community, district committee candidate Demetrius Terry believes that Ward A needs more leaders with accountability who make their presence known.

“My district has been neglected and I feel like we need somebody who can basically make a difference and basically be visible.”

Terry’s campaign focuses on high voter turnout, being hands on within the community and to clean up the drug trafficking in his neighborhood.

He also says he has been campaigning door to door and discovered no one really knows who their committeeman or councilman is.

Donald Brown, a former Essex County Sheriff and current Jersey City committeeman, was not known to the community, Terry claims.

“I have a lot of respect for Councilman Gajewski, but he needs to be visible.”

Also during the interview with Hudson County View, Terry shared his support with District 31 Assembly candidates Nicholas Chiaravalloti and Angela McKnight – who have received the endorsement of the Hudson County Democratic Organization.

“I believe if we work together, we can increase the quality of life in every single neighborhood.”
